Church in Mozambique Destroyed in Islamist Attack

Islamists attacked the parish of St. Louis de Montfort in Meza, Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, on April 30.
According to Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), militants entered the parish in the afternoon and destroyed the church, parish offices, missionaries’ residence, and kindergarten.
Buildings were set on fire and the historic church was reduced to rubble.
The parish was founded in 1946 and was one of the main Catholic landmarks in the region.
Bishop António Juliasse of Pemba said civilians were captured and forced to listen to speeches during the attack. The Cameroonian missionaries serving the parish were not present when the attackers arrived and were unharmed.
There were no confirmed deaths during the April 30 attack.
The insurgency in Cabo Delgado has continued since 2017 and has caused thousands of deaths and displaced more than one million people. Church officials say at least 118 churches and chapels have been destroyed during the conflict.

Acts 15:7-21
“We ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God.”
When 99% of people walk in front of churches, it would be good to listen to them, then reveal to them the beauty of God within them.
John 15:9-11
“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”
Jesus is clear. The perfect, childlike joy is already within us. Let us live in the present, in the Love of God.

Council's Peritus: "Vatican II Liturgical Reform Was Stillborn"

Selected quotes from the book A Wider View of the Second Vatican Council by Archimandrite Boniface Luykx. Republished in English by Angelico Press, Brooklyn, NY, 2025.
Archimandrite Boniface Luykx (1915–2004) was a Belgian Premonstratensian canon regular, professor, and liturgical scholar. In the 1940s and 1950s he was among the leading figures of the Catholic liturgical movement and taught for many years at the University of Notre Dame’s Summer School of Liturgy. From 1960 to 1971 he served as a missionary in Africa, where he founded the Monastère de l’Assomption and taught at Lovanium University in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Beginning in 1959, he was a member of the Preparatory Commission for the Liturgy and later served as a liturgical consultant and expert (peritus) at the Second Vatican Council, as well as one of the authors of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concilium).
After the Council, he became a member of the Consilium …

The anti-white culture of blame has become a business model. In the UK, Green Party “reparations commissioner” Antoinette Fernandez is demanding billions in compensation for the slave trade. Yet, according to reports, she descends from the Obas of Lagos, rulers historically linked to major slave trading operations. Historians claim one ancestor owned 1,400 slaves, while another reportedly brought slaves back from Brazil to build properties in Lagos.

Synod Proposes Consulting Non-Believers and Ex-Catholics in Bishop Selection

Synod.va published on May 5 the final report of Study Group number 7 on the selection of bishops: “In the selection of a bishop, it is necessary to consider, among other qualities, his ‘synodal competencies’.” (page 3)
At least, the document also mentions Catholic criteria: “Among the qualities sought in a bishop are moral integrity, doctrinal orthodoxy, pastoral sensitivity, leadership ability, and the capacity to administer the Church’s goods.” (page 3)
The main idea of the report is expanding lay influence in bishop selection: “The cathedral chapter… finance council… lay council… youth and the poor should also be convened.” (page 4)
The report proposes that, when a diocese is vacant, a committee be established to work with the Apostolic Nuncio, consisting of priests, consecrated religious, and laypersons. (page 5)
Informants should include women, youth, academics, ecclesial movement members, the poor, marginalized persons, and representatives of Indigenous or minority communities. …More

This Time Is Different
The world is racing toward energy collapse and global depression. But this time, the rules have changed: no victory gardens. No resilience. Just digital IDs, CBDC, rationing, and engineered dependence. This time is different. A sober, big-picture look at the long-planned collapse into the Great Reset -- and why growing your own food is more important now than ever.

Tonight at Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV responded to the criticism he has received from Donald Trump: "From the first moment, I have spoken of peace. The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to promote peace. If anyone wants to criticise me for doing so, they should do so truthfully. The Church has spoken out against nuclear weapons for years, so there is no doubt about that."

Leo's brief comments to the press this evening -- “I have already spoken from the first moment ‘peace be with you.’ The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel, to preach peace. If anyone wants to criticize me for proclaiming the Gospel, let them do so truthfully. The Church has spoken out against all nuclear weapons for years, so there is no doubt about that”

From DA: "I am a practicing catholic. And I need to say something that's going to make a lot of people uncomfortable.
Nigeria, the Sahel, India, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, hundreds of Christians have been murdered this year alone. Churches burned to the ground, pastors kidnapped and killed. Communities that have practiced their faith for centuries are being wiped out.
Pope Leo XIV has said almost nothing.
NO named condemnations, NO emergency visits, NO breaking of protocol, just quiet platitudes about dialogue and peace - directed at nobody in particular.
BUT the week Trump escalated the Iran war? Leo flew across continents, gave media interviews, posted viral messages and had three Cardinals appear on 60 minutes in what felt like a coordinated response. Bishop Strickland was removed for defending the Church doctrine. Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico was removed for defending religious exemptions that the cathechism itself supports.
During Covid, goverments padlocked churches across …More
