The episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in Écône on July 1 have revived an old question: how many Catholics are attached to the FSSPX? The answer is surprisingly elusive. Depending on the source, estimates range from around 100,000 to as many as 600,000 faithful worldwide. The FSSPX itself continues to publish the figure of 600,000 faithful. However, the number of 600,000 comes from a speech delivered in 2007 by Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos, then President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei. Speaking to the Latin American bishops at Aparecida, he stated that the "Lefebvrian group" consisted of four bishops, 500 priests and 600,000 faithful. The number is difficult to reconcile with the FSSPX’s infrastructure. The FSSPX has approximately 730 priests, about 180 priories and houses, and 750 chapels and Mass centres. Many of these chapels are small mission stations where Mass is celebrated only once or twice a month with few faithful. In 2019, Fr Pascal …Makîria
Today, the General Secretariat of the Synod issued the preparatory framework for the October 7–14 meeting on the implementation of Amoris Laetitia between Pope Leo XIV and the presidents of the bishops' conferences. The gathering marks the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia. The format is described as "synodal," involving a process of listening, prayer, and discernment. The aim is "to discern the direction in which the Holy Spirit is leading us today." The five discussion themes are: • Families today: reality, beauty and challenges • Young people and the discovery of the vocation to marriage (including cohabiting couples) • Married life: the first years of marriage—a decisive time • In the difficulties of life: accompanying and supporting • Christian families as subjects of the Church's mission The fourth theme speaks of “failure” and the “gap between the ideal and reality.” It says those who “have experienced separation and divorce” should feel listened to, involved, and co-responsible …Makîria
1 Corinthians 5:13 God will judge those outside the church. So you must put that sinful person out of your church. Our Lady of Fatima: “More souls go to Hell because of the sins of the flesh than for any other reason.” Judgment on False Teachers Jude 7 just as Sodom and Gomor′rah and the surrounding cities, which likewise acted immorally and indulged in unnatural lust, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers. 1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister[a] who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one.
A Papal Handshake, a Cathedral Fire, and a Murder: On July 4 in Lampedusa, Leo XIV shook the hands of 20 illegal immigrants who had just arrived in Europe. He reminded everyone that all human life carries immeasurable worth. One of his predecessor’s handshakes later took on a dark meaning. In 2016, Pope Francis shook hands with Rwandan national Emmanuel Abayisenga. In 2020, Abayisenga set fire to the 15th-century Nantes cathedral in France. In 2021, he murdered the priest who had taken him in and sheltered him after the fire.

Benedict XVI's Secretary Abp. Georg Gänswein: "The hardliners prevailed in the SSPX. But Rome should display flexibility on the Latin Mass: Francis made a mistake on Traditionis Custodes, a wrong decision that must be corrected"
On 2 July, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the Nuncio to the Baltic States, spoke to Corriere.it about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and the Mass in the Roman rite. Key quotes, slightly shortened - The FSSPX has become even more hardline. It's unbelievable - truly sad. - Their understanding of tradition is not tradition. They freeze Catholic tradition at Pius XII. After that, they see nothing but errors. - Benedict XVI lifted the excommunications of the four bishops as a father seeking peace. It was an outstretched hand they refused. The radical faction prevailed—they rejected reconciliation then and still do. - They are like the Protestants of five centuries ago. Cardinal Müller is right. - I am very disappointed. Grace can do anything over time, but for now I see even greater distance and deeper hardening than before. "Leo XIV Should Allow the Traditional Roman Mass" - There are faithful who celebrate the Latin rite—for example, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter—and they do …Makîria
Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe spoke to AdVaticanum.com on July 4 about his participation in a London Eucharist at Holy Apostles Church including a liturgical blessing for a homosexual couple. The interview is obvious gaslighting, not to say blatant lying, given that the livestream had been published on YouTube. The event was held on June 13 to mark the 50-year homosexual partnership of Julian Filochowski and Martin Pendergast, two longstanding figures in "pastoral outreach" to homosexual Catholics. The principal celebrant was Fr. Jim O'Keefe, with concelebrants including Bishop John Crowley, emeritus of Middlesbrough, and Bishop John Rawsthorne, emeritus of Hallam. "I gave no blessing to anyone" Cardinal Radcliffe claimed: "I gave no blessing to anyone and had not been aware that any blessings would be given." However, the picture above shows him making the sign of the cross during the blessing of the two homosexuals standing side by side like a married couple. The text was based on a …Makîria
More than 150 people from Spain, Italy, the United States, South Africa, Guyana, and Taiwan attended the apostate and sacrilegious event. The principal celebrant was Father Jim O'Keefe, and the concelebrants included Radcliffe, two English bishops—John Crowley of Middlesbrough and John Rawsthorne of Hallam (both apostates)—as well as the apostate Canon Chris Vipers, from the parish.
Seriously. Leo found time to meet with the Chinese Communists who picked their own bishops. He met with James Martin. He met with decorators for the apostolic palace. But couldn’t find time to meet with the SSPX. That is a fact JCS 77 (@musicthinker13) on X

Are there no true artists in the Church anymore? Must we be inundated always and forever with these garbage images that hold not a microcosm of the Church’s beauty and beliefs, nor the regal majesty of the Papal Office?
French Church Vandalised, Nothing Stolen: On 5 July, Saint-Étienne Church in Mulhouse, eastern France, was vandalised. A man entered the church, went straight to the sanctuary, removed the cross from the altar and threw it to the floor. He then knocked over a vase and used the cross to force open the doors of three confessionals, some dating back to the early 19th century. Nothing was stolen; the damage was confined to religious furnishings and symbols.

The EU in 2027 will spend $0.8 trillion on education and $1.26 trillion on health, while Net Zero will cost $3.3 trillion In his ARC 2026 keynote, Bjorn Lomborg explained the ways in which current climate policies are driving up energy prices and reducing the availability of energy, costing us huge amounts of money while having little to no impact on tackling climate change. He calls for a change in mindset, to pursue the energy abundance that leads to economic growth and technological innovation — which will ultimately help us solve the problem of climate change.
Archbishop Bernard Hebda of Saint Paul and Minneapolis wrote on July 2 about the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX): "In the ten years that I have led this local Church, I have met many sincere people who worship regularly or occasionally at the chapels of the SSPX within the territory of our Archdiocese. I have been impressed by the strength of their families and their commitment to traditional Catholic values." He acknowledges that the FSSPX bishops’ excommunication will affect them in a particular way and hopes they will not follow them “in separating themselves from Pope Leo XIV.” Monsignor Hebda also noted that the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated at six locations in the Archdiocese, adding: “I am confident that those who prefer the Traditional Latin Mass could find a home here.” #newsEtakruhtwp
Drained & defeated: US Patriot’s spectacular faceplant in Ukraine Russian forces delivered a powerful strike on the night of July 6, launching 23 Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles and six Zircon hypersonic missiles at Ukrainian military-industrial targets in Kiev and the surrounding region, yet not a single intercept was made. The latest Western-supplied defense system flop came coupled with multiple Patriot PAC-2/3 missiles reportedly failing right after launch and crashing to the ground. The “low, to put it mildly” interception success rate, as a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force framed it, was because Western Patriot systems are running on empty. “To shoot down ballistic missiles, you need something to shoot them down with. We have a serious shortage of interceptor missiles,” he said. Right on cue, panhandler Zelensky took to the screen, to milk the Western taxpayer for more interceptors. Russia is "winning" as long as “missiles for Patriots remain in the warehouses …Makîria
More NATO officers and Ukrainian officers died in those blasts in their bunkers. It's about time the kid gloves come off. Take it all and get rid of the nazi's and nazi lovers around the world. With NATO countries including the US who are threatening and provoking Russia all the time will get theirs next. Not one NATO country is prepared. It's said England's navy ships are in worse shape than ever before in their history. Norway wants nukes and it's said, they are talking of aiming it straight at Russia. All of them combined can't take on Russia. She can wipe out most of Europe in 20 minutes or less. They provoke Russia and Putin constantly. One day they will strike and that's when they will realize they made a huge mistake. Hatred is a sickness. It's evil and has no place on earth or in Heaven. Please pray for the conversion of President Putin before he dies. He deserves it for all his love, kindness, humility and patience alone.

Unbox Factory Florida has officially recognized gold and silver coins as legal currency starting July 1, 2026 — reviving a debate about hard money in the digital age. The move aligns with Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, which permits states to recognize gold and silver as legal tender. While the U.S. dollar remains dominant, this decision allows certain precious metal coins to be used in transactions within the state of Florida. Important Details: • Effective July 1, 2026 • Recognizes gold & silver coins as legal tender • Does not replace the U.S. dollar • Tied to inflation-hedge arguments • Reflects broader sound-money movement • May impact tax & transaction rules 7.4K views · 139 reactions | Florida has …
[Venerable Mary of Agreda – XVII Century AD; born: Agreda, Spain/died: Agreda, Spain; ‘Lady in Blue’; Abess; Writer; Mystic] 101. ‘She cried travailing in birth.’ Although the dignity of this Queen and of that mystery was to be hidden in the beginning in order that God might be born humble, poor and unknown : yet afterwards the news of that Birth was proclaimed so loudly, that its first echo excited King Herod and filled him with uneasiness. It drew the Magi from their palaces and kingdoms in order to find Him (Matth. 2, 3). Some hearts were touched with fear, others moved to interior affection. The Fruit of this birth, growing until it was raised on the Cross, gave such loud voices, that It was heard from the rising to the setting sun (John 12, 32), and from farthest north to farthest south (Rom. 10, 18). So far then was heard the voice of that Woman who gave birth to the Word of the eternal Father. 102. ‘And was in pain to be delivered.’ He does not say this because She was to give …Makîria
"102. ‘And was in pain to be delivered.’ He does not say this because She was to give birth in bodily pain, for that is not possible in this divine Parturition. But because it was to be a great sorrow for that Mother to see that divine Infant come forth from the secrecy of her virginal womb in order to suffer and die as a victim for the satisfaction of the sins of the world. For this Queen could know and did know all this beforehand by her knowledge of the holy Scriptures."
