Leo XIV increases salaries for cardinals and senior Vatican officials. Today, Leo XIV has abolished the pay cuts introduced by Francis in 2021. Francis had ordered a 10% salary cut for cardinals working for the Holy See and an 8% reduction for senior officials and curial secretaries as the Vatican faced financial difficulties. Other clergy and religious employees initially faced a 3% cut, which was abolished in 2025. Leo XIV’s new motu proprio, effective September 1, abrogates the 2021 decree in its entirety. He claimed the measures had been necessary due to the “exceptional challenge of the pandemic,” but could now be superseded as the Holy See and Vatican City pursue economic sustainability “through different instruments.” #newsRxifznfisa
Gloria.tv serves the Church by giving a voice to the faithful and to the truth. That independence comes at a price - quite literally. Gloria.tv serves its users - readers like you - with its own social-media technology. While editorial websites watch their readership plummet, Gloria.tv is growing and, according to Cloudflare Radar, ranks among the 10,000 largest websites in the world. No other Catholic media outlet ranks there. But here’s the straight talk: Having lots of users doesn’t pay our bills. There are no ads, and we serve our users for free. That’s how we want it. Gloria.tv depends on the generosity of a small group of ordinary faithful - many of them pensioners and praying widows. And to be blunt: This project runs on a very small budget. But not on no budget. That is why this autumn we are asking for your help again. Cardinal Bustillo Meets with Freemasons On August 7, around 100 Freemasons from different obediences gathered at the Col de Vergio in Corsica, France, nearly 1,500 metres above sea level, for a summer lunch. Among those attending was Cardinal François Bustillo, Bishop of Ajaccio. According to LeCanardEnchaine.fr (August 18), the Cardinal spoke at length about “peace”. The Cardinal is one of the rising stars of the French episcopate. Seated beside him was Jean-Félix Acquaviva, the former autonomist MP currently under investigation for alleged passive corruption (offering positions to young women in exchange for sexual favours). Acquaviva has denied the allegations. #newsAoonddakbb
We are not masters, but “CEOs.” Of our lives Liturgy for October 4th – 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Dear brothers and sisters, the passage from the Gospel of Matthew we're going to listen to next Sunday, October 4th, reminds us that we are not masters of life, but a sort of “CEO”—so to speak—of this extraordinary gift God has entrusted to us. God entrusts us with wonderful gifts of nature and grace so that we may make them bear fruit for His glory and for the salvation of our brothers and sisters. If we misuse them, that is: doing evil, or squander them , our future faces the risk of “Eternal doom”, Dear brothers and sisters, the Word of God invites us not to waste time with those who work and build upon the “sand” of their “boundless ego,” but rather to work tirelessly alongside with all our brothers and sisters who wish to build their lives upon the “Rock” that is Christ.
Jane Allen was suffering from anorexia. She traveled to Colorado seeking treatment. Instead, her doctor offered assisted suicide — a prescription for death. Her father intervened just in time. Jane began to heal — eating again, tapering off morphine. The anorexia clinic dropped her, calling her a “liability.” When Jane chose life, her doctors walked away. Assisted suicide isn’t healthcare. It’s preying on the sick and vulnerable.
Yes, communism which NON Russians brought to the people and killed tens of millions of CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX. Some people ought to take out all the hate from their hearts and their lying and get rid of the ignorance they speak. What was Sister Lucia concerned about? communism. What does the Church teach? communism is a sin and evil. Who did the Saintly Popes reach out to? The Russian Orthodox. Who did the Russian Orthodox reach out to? Saintly Popes. As the Church has said, taught and shown for centuries.
Vatican: late IVE founder Carlos Miguel Buela responsible for homosexual offences. The Vatican has publicly addressed the long-running case of Argentine priest Carlos Miguel Buela, founder of the Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE). The case began formally in May 2020, when Cardinal Santos Abril y Castelló established a Special Penal Tribunal to examine allegations against Buela. After hearing the accused, his lawyer and numerous witnesses, the tribunal issued its judgment on 20 July 2021. It found that Buela had committed offences against the sixth commandment in relation to five male members of the Institute. Buela appealed. A Special Penal Tribunal of Appeal was subsequently constituted and conducted additional investigations, including further testimony from Buela and witnesses proposed by his defence. On 30 March 2023, the appellate judges deliberated and voted to confirm the first tribunal’s finding concerning the five cases. Before the appellate judgment could be formally drafted …Ebisinga
Minnesota priest leaves diocese for SSPX, bishop begins canonical process
US priest affiliates with FSSPX, canonical proceedings started. Rev. Philip Conklin, 38, a priest of St. Paul and Minneapolis, has affiliated with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX), and his archbishop has initiated a canonical process against him. It will presumably see the priest declared excommunicated. Archbishop Bernard Hebda wrote on September 30 in the archdiocese’s newspaper: “After confirming with Father Conklin that he does not intend to cease this affiliation, I have felt compelled to commence a canonical process to clarify the situation and his status.” Rev. Conklin was ordained a priest by Archbishop Hebda relatively recently, on May 25, 2024. In March 2026, he went on a six-month leave of absence to discern his priestly vocation. There are some interesting biographical details. Before entering seminary, he trained as a pilot, served for six years in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller, and subsequently worked as a civilian air traffic contractor at …Ebisinga
It appears that any priest who is loyal to traditional Catholicism will face severe penalties. But liberal, heretical and immoral clerics will be advanced.
Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández will publish a new document this October addressing the growing rupture in the transmission of Christianity between generations. It calls for “a Church capable of welcoming everyone in a different way, precisely as they are.” Requested by Pope Francis in his final days, the text was continued with Pope Leo XIV’s encouragement. Fernández announced the forthcoming document in a September 9 address to newly appointed bishops, previewing its main themes and saying it would be published the following month.
The Redemption of Man and the Rejection of “Holy Sex” A Patristic and Scholastic Disputation Against the Modern Exaltation of Carnal Pleasure “The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit.” —1 Corinthians 15:45 Prologue: The Question Before Us There is a fundamental question which must be asked before we speak of the holiness of sexual pleasure: What is man? And immediately after that: What became of man through the Fall? For if we begin with fallen man as though his present condition were the standard of human nature, we shall inevitably mistake the wounds of the Fall for the original design of God. This is precisely the danger in the modern exaltation of sexuality. The question is no longer merely: "Is marital intercourse lawful?" The Catholic tradition already answers that question. The more profound question is: "What ought the Christian to desire within the marital act?" And here a profound difference appears between the ascetical tradition …Ebisinga
Leo XIV’s emphasis on peace and fraternity amounts to “100% Masonic ideology.” Paweł Lisicki, editor-in-chief of the Polish weekly Do Rzeczy, challenges in a October 2 video the claim that Leo XIV’s visit to France signals a Christian revival in Europe. Leo XIV referred to Europe’s Christian roots, but Lisicki argues that the Pope presents Christianity primarily as a source of modern ideals such as human dignity, peace and fraternity, rather than as a call for Europe to return to Catholicism. Lisicki sees this as a profound reversal of Catholic priorities, placing man rather than God, divine truth and salvation at the center. “The glory of man, the dignity of man, has replaced the glory of God,” Lisicki notes, describing recent pontificates as increasingly oriented toward the “false idol” of human dignity. For Lisicki, Leo XIV’s emphasis on interreligious coexistence and on religions serving peace and fraternity represents a secularized redefinition of Christianity—one he describes as …Ebisinga

St. Thomas Aquinas would certainly not support the US position to end the war by using nuclear weapons dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki incinerating and melt the flesh from the innocent population. All we have to do is look at the president at the time: Truman – an avowed Free Mason. I’m with Tucker on this debate.
Former Italian priest Luca Favarin, 54, has become a father. After 25 years as a priest in the Diocese of Padua, Favarin welcomed his son Zaccaria on September 28. “If necessary, I will have the courage to die for you, because I have seen the most beautiful thing: the birth of a child,” he wrote on facebook. Favarin became known for his work with illegal immigrants, prisoners and people on the margins, as well as his commitment to homosexual privileges. He also denied Catholic teaching on assisted dying. After conflicts with his diocese and suspension, he left the clerical state in 2023. In August, Corriere.it asked Favarin about marriage and he replied: “It’s not a priority at the moment.” The mother of his child is described as his partner, a woman he met through social-sector work. #newsVepspjixwq

‘Opinions of the Doctors…’ – ‘Purgatory’ by Rev. Shouppe; 1929; Chapter XXII; p. 69-70, part III Chapter XXII ~ Duration of Purgatory — Opinions of the Doctors — Bellarmine — Calculations of Father Mumford. Let us take a moderate estimate, and suppose that you commit about ten faults a day ; at the end of 365 days you will have a sum of 3650 faults. Let us diminish, and, to facilitate the calculation, place it at 3000 per year. At the end often years this will amount to 30,000, and at the end of twenty years to 60,000. Suppose that of these 60,000 faults you have expiated one half by penance and good works, there will still remain 30,000 to be atoned for. Let us continue our hypothesis : You die after these twenty years of virtuous life, and appear before God with a debt of 30,000 faults, which you must discharge in Purgatory. How much time will you need to accomplish this expiation? Suppose, on an average, each fault requires one hour of Purgatory. This measure is very moderate, if we …Ebisinga

How much time will you need to accomplish this expiation? Suppose, on an average, each fault requires one hour of Purgatory. This measure is very moderate, if we judge by the revelations of the saints ; but at any rate this will give you a Purgatory of 30,000 hours. Now, do you know how many years these 30,000 hours represent? Three years, three months, and fifteen days."
Bishop Mutsaerts: “Ecclesiastical appointments can be foolish.” Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts answered the uncomfortable question “How about Rome?” at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh on October 3. “Rome needs reform sometimes too,” he said. “The Curia is not the Mystical Body of Christ, Vatican diplomacy is not divine revelation, and the dicastery is not protected by the charism of infallibility in every decision. Ecclesiastical appointments can be foolish and bishops can be cowardly and pastoral strategies can fail.” And: “Catholic loyalty therefore does not require pretending that every decision made in Rome is wise.” Turning to synodality, Mutsaerts invoked the collapse of Dutch Catholicism: “I’m Dutch and we started this nonsense in the ’60s already.” His verdict: “Show me the fruits. There aren’t any.”
Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch: “The Curia is not the Mystical Body of Christ, Vatican diplomacy is not divine revelation, and the dicastery is not protected by the charism of infallibility in every decision.” “Ecclesiastical appointments can be foolish and bishops can be cowardly and pastoral strategies can fail.”
Sadly, there is much truth in what you are saying. Ecclesiastical culture has, perhaps for at least a millennium and a half, sadly mirrored secular political culture in its machinations.
Make no mistake. He's been part of the Revolution since his Ordination. It's just that he thinks the Revolution has gone too far - much like the opponents of Robespierre during he French Revolution. Matt is doing the Faith no service by masquerading this man as a promoter of a return to the Ancient Faith.
